House of ill Repute

Formed in the early 1990’s… House of Ill Repute is a blend of Electronica, Industrial and Rock…which doesn’t prevent them from doing Funk, Trip-Hop, etc.  Courted by many major labels, the band decided in 1997 to form Hardkandy Records  and never looked back. Their first release “Confessions of a Lover Gone Mad”, an underground cult hit, has been a best seller at the label since the label’s beginning. It continues to sell on Itunes Internationally, as well on all major download sites. Their follow up album of rarities, new material and previously unreleased material, is out now and is called “The Black House Sessions”.
This digital only album is available on all major download sites including Emusic, Itunes, Itunes International (Japan, Italy, etc.), Napster and Amazon.com.

House of Ill Repute recently completed “The Cruelest Love”, an album of all new material (the first album of it’s sort from the “group” in more than a decade).  The identity of the lead vocalist and personnel of the band has always been in the back field and has been kept a bit of a secret. In actuality, however, the “band” is really the work of Hardkandy Records, Inc. Ceo/President, Greg L. Hines, under the name “Karnal K. Black”. “I never wanted much personal attention, I want the music to speak for itself”. The prolific producer/artist has released, all under his production, over 20 albums. In 2009 alone, he has finished over 12 more albums set for release in 2010.
